What's Provided?
Indoor accommodation
Mattresses to sleep on,
Breakfasts and Dinners
sound system for kickass beats
a full weekend of workshops and awesomeness
What should I bring?
· The tools of your trade (be it staff, poi, contact, hoop, whatever)
· A sleeping bag (or sheets) and pillow
· Food to eat throughout the day
· Warm clothes (it can get quite cold on the beach at night)
· A friendly and sharing attitude
What if I don't have my own gear?
No problems, there will be enough gear to share around!
There will also be rope darts, poi, staffs, and hoops for sale. If you have no gear at all I highly recommend bringing some extra cash to purchase some of these quality products.
As far as fuel is concerned I have a 20L thing of Firewater for attendees to use. Performers can use the fuel for free, otherwise you may purchase 2L for $10 or 5L for $20. otherwise bring your own, but preferably make it odourless
What if there is bad weather?
Hopefully this won't happen but in the event that it does...
There is enough space inside the clubhouse to run at least 1 workshop all the time throughout the day.
I am trying to source a decent sized gazebo to put up so we can have a space outside as well as inside to run workshops
In the event of golf ball sized hailstones being forecast the event will unfortunately be cancelled, patrons notified and their money refunded. BUT THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!!
What food can I bring?
Anything you like! There is a full kitchen inside the clubhouse that we can all use and there will be enough fridge space.
Dinners will be vegetarian but delicious!
Things to note:
· There is to be NO GLASS WHATSOEVER!
· Also, due to licensing issues there is also NO BYO. We will be running a bar (which will run at basically cost price)
· This is a surf lifesaving club were using and as such the surf lifesavers will require access to clubhouse facilities while we are there. We are guests and must show them and their clubhouse the proper respect.
· Lastly, I promised we'd put on a show for the club members on the Sat night so if you want to put a routine together that'd be great and if you just want to get out there and show people who've never seen this stuff before some crazy fire tricks then we'd love to see that too!
I hope this helps,
Look forward to seeing you all there.
